My sister (Brieanna) and her fiance (Keith) are cool people who created James’ Pure and Wholesome Skincare, a business which is an excellent example of how necessity truly is the mother of invention.

You see, last September they had their first child who was born with Prader-Willi Syndrome, a genetic disorder which manifests a variety of symptoms, one of which being sensitive skin.

After spending 46 days in the NICU my nephew came home to Brie and Keith who learned real quick that they couldn’t find a soap which wouldn’t irritate his skin…so what did they do?

They made their own.

When Is The Right Time To Take Action?

People always use, “the timing wasn’t right” to justify inaction, in the podcast below you’ll hear how Brie and Keith didn’t wait for timing, money, or the stars to align for them to take action and get the ball rolling; their son needed them and from both love and necessity, a business was born.

Not only did they create products which were helpful to their son’s sensitve skin, they soon learned that their soaps and body lotions were helping a large variety of skin issues; from people’s sensitive skin, to dryness, as well as those dealing with full blown eczema.

The reviews and praise poured in and James’ Pure and Wholesome Skincare took off.

Brie and Keith decided their fate instead of waiting for the “perfect opportunity” to present itself and in doing so, they helped more people than they could have ever imagined.

Love Doesn’t Pay The Bills

As much as well wishes and gifts are nice, JPWS needed to generate income because unless you’ve been living under a rock, you know that medical bills are not cheap.

100% of sales made from JPWS go toward covering medical expenses; from medications and equipment to the travel that is required to get James in front of the Doctors who are on the front lines of learning more about Prader-Willi Syndrome and how to best treat it.

While making their soaps in house (literally) both Brie and Keith continue to work their full time jobs.

This is something few recognize, starting a business is not easy, starting one with a family to care for is insane.

So be it.

We all have but one life to live, if you’ve been reading my content you know I’m leaving nothing left in the tank and it appears that my sister and future brother-in-law are on that same life path.

If you’re on the edge and wondering if now is the “right time“, just go for it.

Don’t let “perfect” get in the way of “good enough” because something on the market is better than anything stuck in your head.

The timing will never be right, so make right now the right time for you.

Start Something,
